Winter at Gadô
The first winter at the GADÔ. A new chapter begins — and hopefully it begins with snow. The same house, the same family, the same Bregenzerwald outside the door — but a new name and a fresh way of looking at it.
)
And now comes the first winter as GADÔ.
It feels special. Not because everything is different, but because so much is beginning with a new energy. We’ve been getting ready — setting up the ski and boot room so that wet shoes, heavy ski boots and everything else that needs somewhere to go after a long day outside has a proper place. So you can come in, take your shoes off and simply arrive.
And then there are the mountains. The Bregenzerwald in winter is a chapter of its own — and from Bezau, so much is close by.
The ski bus stops right outside the door and heads to the Damüls-Mellau ski resort — 109 kilometres of slopes, 28 lifts, reliable snow well into spring. Anyone with a ski pass travels by bus for free. Those who prefer it a little quieter head to the Diedamskopf — our insider tip at 2,090 metres, with views across 300 peaks all the way to Lake Constance. And for those who want to go big: Warth-Schröcken is directly connected to the Ski Arlberg — one of the most significant ski areas in Europe, a little further away, but worth every kilometre.
And for those who prefer to toboggan: the run in Bezau is right outside the door. Quiet, unhurried, and perfect for anyone who’d rather end the day on a sledge than on skis. And if all goes well, the cross-country ski trail will be right on the doorstep again this year too.
We’re looking forward to this first winter. To new faces, familiar faces, and everything still to come. Winter bookings are open — come and take a look.
