QUESTIONS UPON QUESTIONS
Here are our most important FAQs for your stay, at a glance:
You're welcome to check in from around 1 pm. We're often flexible on timing. Just send us a quick WhatsApp letting us know roughly when you'll arrive. We always try to welcome you in person. If that's not possible, we'll let you know in good time and your key will be waiting in the key box.
So we can get Gadô ready for the next guests, we ask you to vacate your room by 9:30 am. Your luggage is welcome to stay, of course — head out into the mountains and pick it up later, no problem. We'll sort out the exact details together the evening before. Sometimes a late check-out is possible too — just ask. A small surcharge applies in that case.
Great idea! The Bregenzerwald has excellent public transport. The Kloster Bezau bus stop is just a 5-minute walk away, with buses running directly to Bregenz or Dornbirn. Best of all: the ski and hiking bus departs right outside our door.
We have plenty of parking in front of and behind the house. That said, we're always happy when you travel as sustainably as possible :)
We live at Gadô ourselves, so we know every corner and every good trail in the area. We always try to welcome you in person — and usually manage to. Please just let us know roughly when you'll be arriving. If we're not at the house, we'll happily leave your key in the key box.
But of course. As much as we love the quiet, a good connection to the wider world matters to us too.
Everything you need. The finest bed linen from Schlafgut, towels, soap, hair dryer. In the apartments with a kitchen you'll find everything for cooking and staying a while: stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher, kettle. And if something's ever missing — we live right on-site and are happy to help.
Fresh bed linen from Schlafgut and towels are all set for you — freshly washed and ready to go. Just arrive, and feel at home.
Slippers. Gadô has beautiful wooden stairs and floors — they like to be looked after. Your outdoor shoes can stay in the entryway. And in slippers, you'll feel right at home anyway.
Four-legged friends welcome on request — in Gadô 5 and Gadô 6. Ground floor, direct garden access, just one step outside. Meadow. Fresh air. Mountains.
So everyone feels comfortable — including our other guests — we ask that pets stay on the floor, not on the beds. And please don't leave them alone in the apartment.
Leash rules apply in Bezau for outings. You'll find everything else on cable cars, buses and hiking trails with dogs here.
Send us a quick photo of your dog beforehand — we're already looking forward to meeting them. A small surcharge applies for pets.
We have our own room right in the house for that — with space for everything you might bring along. Skis, poles, helmets, bikes, strollers. More than enough room.
Every morning, Monday through Saturday, Grandma Angelika heads to Bäcker Kleber — fresh from the oven, open from 7 am. If you'd like some, just knock on her door the evening before and let her know what you'd like. She'll bring the rolls back with her and hang them on your door. We'll simply add them to your bill. On Sundays and public holidays, Grandma Angelika goes to church, and the bakery stays closed.
The Guest Card Bregenzerwald is available in summer — from May 1 to October 31 — and it's free from 3 nights onward. Cable cars, buses, swimming pools: all included, from your arrival day to your departure day. You'll get it directly from us, digitally on your phone, as soon as you've completed the online check-in. A minimum stay of three nights is required. And if you're arriving by bus, you can already use it on your way here.
We don't have a card reader. You're welcome to pay by cash or via payment link.
You select the booking terms directly during the reservation process.
