Take the Bachweg from Gadô straight to the cable car. Ride the cable car comfortably from Bezau up to Baumgarten (even free with the Bregenzerwald Card), where the view opens up across the entire Bregenzerwald all the way to Lake Constance — and that alone brings the perfect kind of calm.
From the ridge of the "Niedere," a scenic high-altitude trail leads across to the Stongerhöhe, before an alpine path over the "Hasenstrick" climbs to the summit of the Winterstaude. Up here, a magnificent view and pure relaxation await, with the world laid out at your feet.
The way back passes beautifully situated alpine pastures with their own dairies, down to the Sonderdach mid-station. From Sonderdach, ride the cable car back down into the valley in comfort.
At the Alpe Wildmoos, treat yourself to some homemade ice cream — it's worth it.
