Seilbahn Bezau
Hello, view. A few minutes from the valley up to the Niedere. Hiking, watching the paragliders, taking in the panorama. And with the Gäste-Card, the cable car is free for you.

Some outings don’t need a long plan. The Seilbahn Bezau takes you from the village up to Baumgarten at around 1,650 metres, and from there a panorama opens up that reaches from the gentle hills in the north to Lake Constance, across the alpine pastures to the peaks in the south and east. The Niedere is our local mountain, and in summer it shows its best side.
Hiking. It starts right at the top station. The panorama trail over the Niedere Höhe is easy and family-friendly, a stroll with views where you keep stopping to look. If you want more, hike across the alpine pastures past Wildmoos and Sonderdach, or take on one of the longer routes. For example the hike from Baumgarten to Schönenbach, which ends with a good meal. Walking down is lovely too: the cable car takes you up, your legs bring you back.
Watching the paragliders. The Niedere is a launch site, and from above you can often watch them take off and circle. A place to sit, a cold drink, and the afternoon is yours.
Stopping for a bite. The Panoramarestaurant Baumgarten is accessible straight from the top station, with regional specialities and the view to match.
And the best part: if you stay three or more nights at the GADÔ in summer, you receive the Bregenzerwald Gäste-Card, and with it the Seilbahn Bezau is free.
And in winter? The hike becomes a toboggan run, the panorama trail a snowshoe walk, and the mountain a quiet family ski area. That’s the Niedere too.
