Start right from Gadô, heading toward Bizau via the Rimsgrund. By bike, roll along at an easy pace through the quiet Hilkat area and along the Schönenbachstraße, up to the Obere Hintereggalpe. A paved road leads all the way to the alpe, where the elevation gain seems to pass almost effortlessly — and that stretch alone would make the trip worthwhile.
From here, continue on foot: hiking toward the sky through dense, cool mountain forest. The path winds its way up for the final thirty minutes, until the forest opens up and you reach the summit of the Sienspitze. A real hidden gem in the Bregenzerwald, where — with a bit of luck — you can enjoy sunrise or sunset in complete stillness.
The way back completes the loop perfectly: without retracing your steps, the route leads down into Bizau. If you like, stop in at "Taube" — the fine food a duo of women conjure up there is exactly what you've earned after a ride like this. Freshly refueled, follow the bike path back to Bezau at an easy, relaxed pace.
